Are you sure there are many rather than some?

No, I don't have Dreamweaver myself. Could have a look at the product info on the Macromedia website, but I think that'd be the best way to do it.

Could you list the missing key features?

When I next have access to Dreamweaver, yes. :-)

Daniel's employment

Daniel Glazman runs Disruptive Innovations, SARL, SARL and is an active developer for mozilla.org. The text in the article indicates that he is also employed by mozilla.org which is not the case AFAIK. --Dogmatix 06:28, 21 July 2005 (UTC)

NVU was ported to SkyOS (www.skyos.org) so if someone wants to add it in I think it would be good.

Its barely relevant, as its been ported to nearly evey OS under the sun, and as it is, it already said it runs on any platform with the NSPR, which SkyOS has. --Kiand 19:16, 6 August 2005 (UTC)

And at that, SkyOS isn't even a "tiered" platform for Mozilla, and hence Nvu, whereas even Tier 2 or Tier 3 platforms aren't even mentioned here. --Kiand 19:22, 6 August 2005 (UTC)

NVU no longer maintained

I think it should be mentioned that NVU is going through some changes right now. To put it in a less political correct way, the project appears to stagnate or even be dead. There is a discussion concerning this in the offical NVU developer forum . In any case, the inofficial NVU successor, Kompozer should be mentioned. CNET and others are already offering it as download...

He does it in his free time. There are great new features planned, | read his blog, and in fact, the author of kompozer is working on it too: composer progress from glazblog. From this post it seems he doesn't read the nvudev.org forums too closely. 71.81.37.151 15:36, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

I second that: isn't KompoZer mentioned in the second section? At the same time as it states Nvu is being "sequelled" & that KompoZer is the temporary replacement until Composer 2.0's finished?... MonstaPro 00:06, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

I looked for a reference to substantiate the claim that NVU is no longer being maintained. Seems to be not so easy because nobody has come right out and said, "OK, we're dropping it as of today!". However, net2.com, who offer NVU as a free goodie with their Web hosting package, state in their "ABOUT that NVU belongs to Linspire and fell by the wayside when Linspire was sold to Xandros. A Linspire press release dated June 29, 2005 claims that NVU is a trademark belonging to them. Finally, another Linspire press release dated July 2nd, 2008 confirms that Linspire was sold to Xandros.

While all this doesn't out-and-out confirm net2's version of the story, it corroborates it. I can't imagine an obvious reason for net2 to lie about the matter, though. Carl Smotricz (talk) 22:14, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

This quote from the Nvu download page would seem to put the matter to rest. "Source Code

Mozilla Projects & Composer 2.0

Is it true that http://www.mozilla.org/editor/ is not the composer 2.0 homepage? I have checked the Mozilla projects page & the only thing that seems close to it is Editor... MonstaPro 00:35, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

netscape gold
